This breathtaking hotel was originally constructed in the late 1800s and is renowned for its Victorian terracotta façade and stone cupola. Designed by architects Chorley & Connon, this impressive and iconic exterior sets the stage for the elegant interior that follows. Couples will be dazzled by this luxurious venue, where they can host the celebration of their wildest dreams.

Weddings at The Met

The Met Hotel offers contemporary and modern décor but keeps the character of this beautiful, traditional Grade II listed building. Providing a beautiful venue in the heart of Leeds with a range of function rooms available for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and celebration we can host your wedding, civil ceremony or vow-renewal.


Our friendly and professional team will ensure your wedding day exceeds every expectation and our Executive Head Chef will work with you to create the perfect menu for your big day.

Met 2

With its dual-aspect tall windows the natural light pours into the room and creates a spacious and airy feel. The neutral décor makes it a blank slate for different themes and colour schemes for your big day.

Couples can exchange vows in Met 2, which is licensed for ceremonies for up to 50; or raise a toast and tuck into a definitively romantic wedding breakfast for up to 40 people.

Met Suite

The stunning architecture of The Met Suite, with its vaulted ceiling, grand columns and plaster friezes adorning the walls makes this the perfect room to make a statement. Wedding breakfasts and evening receptions are hosted in a large ballroom with a cathedral ceiling and rows of Romanesque columns. 

Couples can exchange vows in The Met Suite which is licensed for ceremonies for up to 200; or raise a toast and tuck into a definitively romantic wedding breakfast for up to 150 people.
